Who says you need a 2.0
These guys have turboed a 1.8, I believe its running standard comp ratio of 10:1 and I dont know how they managed that, but it must be running low boost.
Obviously fuelling and ignition must be spot on or the engine would blow itself to bits with detonation.
The above figures of 239bhp/253 lb/ft are impressive for a 1.8
